Our staff comprises of many loving people who really care about our children and only want the very best for them! Meet some of these beautiful people. The majority have never worked with this type of children, so the experience was at times quite overwhelming. But the common aspect is that all of our staff love and care deeply for these children. They've come from Belgium, Puerto Rico, Canada, France and Morocco.

on the left of photo Joseph Schimtz, CEO-Director of Sav Lives, S.A. He comes from a very unique background. He spend 8 years of his life in the military of the United States. In 1987 he continued his education earning a B.S. Degree in International Business Administration. He earned a Degree in Child Development from Hostos University in NYC, New York in 1992. In 1997, Mr. Schimtz founded SavLives Foundation in Costa Rica and Panama. He knows firsthand of how war, poverty and societies indifference can effect children. Since that time SavLives.Org has branched out to other countries and has helped so many children to dramatically change their lives and their futures.

Fr. Kemi Bataiolu, (center of photo) is our Director of Educational Standards He is a Franciscan Priest originally from Nigeria. In 1984 he was reassigned to Gambia, where he was Head Master at The St. Catherine School in Banjul. Father Kemi returned to his native Nigeria in 1991, where he lived in Saki. Due to political unrest in the country he was forced to flee with 21 students to neighboring Benin. In 2000 he started working at SavLives, S.A. as Ass't Director, Development Counselor and Child Activist. Fr. Kemi is currently in Recife, Brazil overseeing the building of a school and housing complex for seventy children in Recife, Brazil.
Bertram "Bert" X. Scott, Director of Health-Legal Services. Mr. Scott is a retired attorney from Vancouver, Canada. In 1997 he moved to Costa Rica, with his wife Janice and daughter Ashley. His wife is a retired Obstetrician. They both heard of Mr. Schmitz´ efforts to help children and contacted him in 1999. Since then Janice Scott has spent time in Colombia and Brazil helping set-up three health clinics. One clinic is located in Bucaramanga, Colombia helping children who are victims from "land mines" planted by Colombia's FARC and National Police. Scott spends time between Costa Rica, Panama and Brazil: trying to gain support from politicians in banning the use of "land mines". In 2007 he petioned Brazilian President, Luiz Ignasio Lula do Silva to commit more funding towards helping the over 2 million street children of Brazil. Mr. Scott retired from the Canadian
Armed Forces Reserve in 1996, with the rank of Major.
